All about Diwali

Diwali is the Festival of Lights and it is celebrated all over the India.It is celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains. The festival, which coincides with the Hindu New Year, celebrates new beginnings and the victory of good over evil and light over darkness.

In north India it is celebrated as the story of King Rama’s return to Ayodhya after 14 years and as he defeated Ravana by lighting rows of clay lamps. In South India it is celebrated as the day that Lord Krishna defeated the demon Narakasura.
